Students that are digitally literate will enjoy an enriched educational experience and will be better prepared for life, for work, and further learning.  Students who use technology as part of the learning process perform better in school, and are more motivated to learn.

Skills Support Learning As learning environments evolve, students increasingly need the skills to use technology tools to support them in their learning.  ICT skills enable students to present written work in an appropriate manner using word processing, and presentation slides to showcase projects, while spreadsheets are increasingly useful in a number of subjects.

The right skills also facilitate access to information and resources, enabling students to access a more diverse pool of information from which to draw, including e-learning and multimedia content.  Expanding the student’s knowledge beyond the classroom gives it more meaning, fosters critical thinking, and promotes a positive attitude to further lifelong learning.
