About Us

The learn-new-skills-from-home training group website was founded in late 2009 to help home learners gain the fastest growing worldwide recognised ICT (Information Communication Technology) computer qualifications, the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) and the International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL). At learn-new-skills-from-home we have created a one stop shop environment with home learners having access and links to:

All our advanced (level 3) course materials cover Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 and 2010 applications versions. Our approach allows our home learners to get all the required knowledge they need for the ECDL Advanced and ICDL Advanced qualifications from the comfort of their own homes, therefore maximising flexibility and cost effectiveness for them.

Our Team

In our website course management team we have a collective number of skills and experience in education, ranging into the decades, with training, support, consultancy and corporate manual writing for some of the UK’s largest training companies amongst them. We aim to provide affordability combined with quality in all our ECDL Advanced and ICDL Advanced course products and take pride in our awards, and satisfaction we receive in feedback from prior home learner's who have achieved their goals in either gaining promotion, career change and better productivity within their own businesses.

Dedication

Unlike most public and commercial course provider’s (colleges, private providers, universities etc...) who display and promote multiple qualifications and awarding bodies, learn-new-skills-from-home is dedicated to providing course materials, latest news, jobs, updates and other recourses for the ECDL Advanced and ICDL Advanced qualifications only. Concentrating all our efforts on one particular awarding body allows us to provide better course materials and resources for ECDL Advanced and ICDL Advanced learners.

Our Learning Style

Our learning method gives home learner's the resources and opportunity to work with maximum flexibility, which is needed in today's world.  Our approach was created through prior home learner's feedback. A majority of home learner's expressed that they had some basic ICT computer skills but were unable to identify their areas of strength and weakness, when relating to the ECDL Advanced and ICDL Advanced qualifications. We therefore decided to create our course materials around this common issue by assessing learner's current ICT skills from the outset. Our approach helps home learners to save time and money and gives learners the opportunity to concentrate on the subject areas which may need some improvement to pass either the ECDL Advanced or ICDL Advanced qualifications.
